The official story offers a focused foundation rather than a complete synopsis: a couple, a job gone wrong and a conspiracy reaching across Leonida.
Rockstar places Jason and Lucia at the centre together. Each has a separate background, but the published premise stresses their need to trust one another. That confirms more than the presence of two leads: their relationship drives the drama. Free character switching, separate campaign paths and any particular ending have not been officially explained.
The trailers place intimate moments beside robberies, escapes and contacts across different parts of Leonida. That suggests a story in which the relationship and a criminal network develop together. A montage cannot establish a reliable chronology, however. A shot may be a flashback, side mission or late turning point. Our timeline therefore organises evidence without inventing a mission list.
Claims about betrayal, deaths or multiple endings are not reliably established before release. Even when a name or location is accurate, the story attached to it may not be. The official premise gives players enough context to understand the cast without revealing the major surprises. For that reason, alleged complete leak summaries are not treated here as plot facts.

After a failed easy heist, Jason and Lucia are drawn into a criminal conspiracy that spans Leonida. To make it out alive, they have to trust each other.

Backstory
Jason grows up around con artists, joins the Army, and later ends up running with drug couriers in the Keys. Lucia learns to fight early and eventually lands in Leonida Penitentiary.

Protagonist
Lucia's father taught her to fight. After her time in prison, she wants the good life her mother dreamed of – with smart decisions and Jason at her side.
