GTA 6 preorder: choose your platform, verify the official source, and spot dubious key offers before any money changes hands.
// Independent buying guide
This section separates product facts from retailer offers. It helps you choose the right format and recognise risky listings before following any affiliate link.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are the confirmed launch platforms. A PC date has not been announced, so a supposed advance PC key is not a real alternative. Before buying, check whether the listing is a box with a download code, a digital download code or a bundle, and whether it matches the exact console in your home. Store credit is useful only when you intend to buy digitally through that platform account.
The Standard Edition is the sensible reference point because it contains the game. A more expensive edition is worthwhile only when you understand and actually want its listed extras. Retail prices, stock and bundle contents can change, so every figure on this page carries a date and should be checked again on Amazon before checkout. A crossed-out price is not automatically a good deal if the bundle contains credit or accessories you would not otherwise buy.
There is no disc at launch: the physical version contains a download code (confirmed by Rockstar in June 2026). Extreme discounts, payment by crypto or gift card, missing company details and promises for an unannounced platform are warning signs. Do not install files offered as early builds, generators or activation tools. We link to Amazon for the commercial offer, while release, platform and edition facts are checked against official publisher information. The affiliate commission does not change your price, but it is never a reason for us to describe an unconfirmed product as official.

The confirmed launch covers PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has no official release date.
Availability for the confirmed release on November 19, 2026. Always double-check price and editions in the official store.
Does any of this apply? The more warning signs, the higher the risk.
// Editions & Preload
Rockstar is releasing GTA 6 in two editions. The difference is not the story content of the main game but vehicles, weapons, shops and bonus content.
The complete single-player experience with Jason and Lucia. Out November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Everything in the Standard Edition plus a collection of premium vehicles, weapons, clothing, exclusive shops and extra action for both characters.
Moving from Standard to Ultimate Edition is planned. Rockstar has not announced a price for that upgrade yet.
The download starts a week before release — for both the digital and the physical version.
Buying in store gets you a box with a download code. Playing without an internet download is not intended.
Preorder or buy by November 20, 2026 and you also get the Vintage Vice City Pack with items styled after the neon era.

Official GTA VI portalThe game listings separate the two confirmed console platforms, while bundles make their included credit visible instead of hiding it in the price. The controller is an optional collector item, not a requirement for playing. Check format, platform and current total on Amazon before ordering, because availability and bundle contents can change.
